Privacy Policy
Who we are
Mivzak is a news aggregator that collects headlines from public Israeli news sources and links out to the original article. It requires no sign-up, creates no user accounts, and collects no name, email, or contact details.
What data is stored
All of your preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) only — they are never sent to our server and are never tied to your identity:
- Bookmarks and reading history
- Language and light/dark theme choice
- Source filters and reader text size
You can erase all of this at any time using the button at the bottom of this page, or by clearing your browser storage.
One exception: if you opt into breaking-news notifications, your browser's push subscription (its endpoint and encryption keys) is stored on our server solely to deliver those notifications. Unsubscribing deletes it.
Usage analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate visit counts. It is cookieless, collects no personally identifiable information, and does not track you across other sites.
Cookies
This site uses no tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie-consent banner is therefore required.
Third parties & processing
- Feed headlines and full-text fetching happen server-side, so your IP address is not exposed directly to the news sources.
- To categorize and rank headlines we may send article titles and metadata (not your personal data) to the Anthropic API.
- The site is hosted on Vercel, which may process technical server logs (including IP addresses) under its own privacy policy.
Legal basis & your rights (GDPR)
Because we collect no personal data and keep preferences locally on your device, you remain in full control. Under the GDPR and Israel's Privacy Protection Law you have rights of access, rectification, and erasure — which you can exercise instantly by clearing your local data. Contact us with any questions.
