צה"ל החליט היום (חמישי) להתיר את התחייבותו ולסיים את שירותו של סגן-אלוף א', ששימש קצין המודיעין של אוגדת עזה ב-7 באוקטובר. ההחלטה התקבלה על רקע ממצאי התחקירים והכשלים בתפקודו בתקופה שקדמה למתקפה. הקצין רשאי לערער על ההחלטה לרמטכ"ל.
