Israel struck Syria to prevent Turkey from establishing in the country, fmr. IDF Navy chief says
V.-Adm. (ret.) Eliezer Marom said Israel would not allow Turkey to establish control in Syria, while warning that mounting US pressure could force Iran to choose between negotiations and escalation.
