השופטים הורו לממשלה להגיש הודעת עדכון לגבי עמדתה עד 15 בינואר. בכך הם קיבלו את עמדת היועמ"שית התומכת בדחיית ההכרעה עד לאחר הקמת ממשלה חדשה. העתירה לבג"ץ להקמת ועדת חקירה ממלכתית הוגשה ביוני 2024
